A resident of Komi was removed from a train heading to the Belgorod region. According to the security service, the man through Telegram "provided his personal data to the curator of a terrorist organization, after which he completed a reconnaissance task to prepare photo and video materials of a strategic infrastructure object of the fuel and energy complex".
After this, he allegedly planned to travel to the territory of Ukraine to participate in hostilities against Russia.
Criminal cases have been initiated under several articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, including "treason", "participation in terrorist activities" and "preparation for sabotage", the FSB stated. The detainee faces life imprisonment.
