FSB officers detained a resident of the Tambov region born in 1987 in connection with a case involving ties to Ukrainian intelligence services, TASS reported, citing the FSB's Public Relations Center. He is accused of "collaborating with a foreign state on a confidential basis to the detriment of Russia's security." The name of the individual is not mentioned in the report.
According to the investigation, the man contacted a representative of Ukrainian intelligence services via Telegram and, on his instructions, retrieved technical equipment from a cache intended for conducting sabotage and terrorist acts in Russia.
The detainee himself stated on camera that he had previously communicated extensively with users of opposition chats, and eventually, a contact from Ukraine, who introduced himself as Alexander, reached out to him and offered money to complete a task: to retrieve equipment from a cache.
It is noted that law enforcement is currently checking whether he is involved in crimes under other articles.
