The Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War reported the return to Ukraine of 909 bodies of fallen military personnel. The soldiers died in the Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, Bakhmut, Vuhledar, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Kharkiv directions. It was also possible to return bodies from morgues in the territory of the Russian Federation.
Law enforcement investigators, together with expert institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, must identify the deceased defenders as soon as possible.
Russia received 41 deceased, reported RBC State Duma deputy Shamsail Saraliyev.
According to Artur Dobroserdov, Ukraine's Commissioner for Persons Missing under Special Circumstances, in the last four months, the Russian side has handed over twice as many bodies as during the entire period of the full-scale war.
