The Domodedovo City Court of the Moscow Region satisfied the Federal Tax Service's demand to recover more than 3 billion rubles from the former owners of Domodedovo airport, reported the Prosecutor General's Office, which initiated the lawsuit.
According to the agency, former owner Dmitry Kamenshchik and former chairman of the supervisory board Valery Kogan underpaid the state 'taxes, fees, insurance contributions, and fines' amounting to more than 3 billion rubles.
The Arbitration Court of the Moscow Region nationalized Domodedovo airport in June following a lawsuit by the Prosecutor General's Office. The agency claimed that the beneficiaries of the airport were foreign residents and transferred profits from the airport's operations abroad.
In March, 'Novaya-Europa'* calculated that since the beginning of 2022, prosecutors have seized 411 companies with assets worth 2.6 trillion rubles, which is more than 2% of Russia's GDP.
