Judge Ekaterina Geiger of the Verkh-Isetsky District Court of Yekaterinburg sentenced 20-year-old musician Evgeny Mikhailov, known by the pseudonym "Zhenya Radost", to 14 days of arrest, reported a SOTAvision* correspondent from the courtroom.
Mikhailov was accused of petty hooliganism for singing in a public place the line "Where have you been for 8 years, fucking inhumans?" from Noize MC's song "Cooperative 'Swan Lake'" and of "discrediting" the army for performing the song "You Are a Soldier" by Monetochka.
The protocol on "discrediting" the army was filed by law enforcement based on a statement by "SVO" participant Yegor Gorshunov, who confirmed that the lyrics of Monetochka's song "You Are a Soldier" "discredit the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation".
A representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs responded that it was "important for them to know the opinion of a participant in the special military operation". The police also asked to find Mikhailov guilty on both counts, as he "perfectly understood what he was singing".
