The Ukrainian project «Slidstvo.Info» discovered the whereabouts of journalist Anastasia Glukhovskaya, who was kidnapped in Melitopol in 2023

Since August 2024, she has been held in Detention Center No. 3 in Kizel, Perm Krai, where the mayor of Dniprorudne, Yevhen Matveev, and journalist Viktoria Roshchina have already died

In August 2023, FSB officers kidnapped journalist Anastasia Glukhovskaya in occupied Melitopol. For more than two years, Russia has illegally detained her without official charges and without acknowledging the fact of her detention, according to an investigation by the Ukrainian project «Slidstvo.Info».

The Investigative Committee of Russia and the FSB have repeatedly responded to inquiries about the journalist's fate, stating that they «did not detain» Glukhovskaya and «do not have information about her whereabouts».

At the same time, journalists managed to find a witness who confirmed that the Ukrainian journalist is being held in Detention Center No. 3 in the city of Kizel, Perm Krai, where Ukrainian captives have already died — the mayor of Dniprorudne, Yevhen Matveev, and journalist Viktoria Roshchina.

Moreover, according to testimonies from former prisoners in Melitopol, Glukhovskaya was previously tortured in the basement of the «Ruslan-komplekt» enterprise, where a «field prison» was set up. One of the former captives said she heard the journalist's screams and saw the effects of electric shock torture.

After this, the journalist was transferred first to Detention Center No. 2 in Taganrog, and then in August 2024 to Kizel.

The international organization «Reporters Without Borders»* confirms that Glukhovskaya is being held incommunicado — without official acknowledgment of her arrest. This means that Russia is effectively hiding her existence.

At the same time, other Melitopol journalists detained with Glukhovskaya have already been sentenced: Heorhiy Levchenko received 16 years in a penal colony, Vladyslav Hershon — 15. They were found guilty of espionage and participating in a terrorist community.

* Recognized as an «undesirable» organization in Russia.
