In Khimki, a man was detained against whom the first criminal case was initiated for organizing activities for the transfer of subscriber numbers, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
According to the investigation, he visited the offices of telecom operators and based on fake powers of attorney from various legal entities, he concluded contracts for the provision of communication services. The obtained numbers were transferred to «third parties». He was promised 9,000 rubles for each successfully concluded contract.
During the search, smartphones, SIM cards, documents, and «other items of evidentiary significance» were seized from the man.
At the same time, in the published video of the arrest, the special forces group breaks down the door and forces the man face down on the floor.
The new article «Organizing activities for the transfer of subscriber numbers in violation of the requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation» came into force on September 1, 2025. The maximum penalty for participation in such schemes is two years of imprisonment, and for organization — three.
