The Khamovniki Court of Moscow satisfied the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office and seized the property of the former head of the main personnel department of the Ministry of Defense, Yuri Kuznetsov, in the amount of more than 500 million rubles. This was reported by «Caution, news» with reference to the lawyer of the ex-official Alexei Pershin.
Since May 2024, Kuznetsov has been in a pre-trial detention center on a case of a particularly large bribe. According to tax data, Kuznetsov's income from 2010-2023 amounted to 47.6 million rubles, and his wife's income was more than 41 million rubles. Nevertheless, the general acquired real estate in Moscow, the Moscow region, and Krasnodar for much larger amounts, registering it in the names of relatives.
During searches, hundreds of thousands of dollars and euros in cash, as well as a collection of jewelry and rare coins, were seized from Kuznetsov and his relatives.
