In the part of the Zaporizhzhia region occupied by Russian troops, 39-year-old 'war correspondent' of RIA 'Novosti' Ivan Zuev died, the agency reported, another 'war correspondent', Yuri Voytkovich, was seriously injured.
According to RIA 'Novosti', Zuev died as a result of a Ukrainian drone strike on October 16. The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case on murder and obstruction of journalists' professional activities.
Zuev became a war correspondent for RIA 'Novosti' in Donetsk in April 2023, previously he worked at 'Sputnik Near Abroad'.
In March 2025, in the Belgorod region, a 'Channel One' film crew hit a mine, and 'war correspondent' Anna Prokofyeva died.
