According to Kommersant, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation confiscated the hotel "Kordon Guzeripl", registered to the daughter of the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Adygea, Aslan Trakhov, Susanna Kobleva. The decision was made as part of the criminal case against Trakhov himself, who is accused of large-scale fraud and legalization of illegal income. His assets valued at 13 billion rubles were confiscated: 114 land plots, 26 houses, shares in the shopping centers "Monarama Adygea" and "Lucky". Trakhov admitted that he registered assets in the names of relatives and front persons.
The hotel is located near the Caucasian Reserve, and local resident Aslan Patokov, previously convicted of fraud, helped her acquire the property. According to the investigation, in 2015 Patokov fraudulently took possession of the hotel. At the same time, he boasted about his connections in the court, saying that "no one would dare to oppose him".
In May 2019, the Maikop District Court acquitted Patokov, but a few months later the verdict was overturned, and the case was sent for a new trial.
The publication notes that the acquittal was issued during the period when Trakhov held the position of Chairman of the Supreme Court of Adygea, and the review took place shortly after his resignation.
In February 2020, he was sentenced to five years in a general regime colony for large-scale fraud and falsification of evidence in a civil case.
