As a result of the drone attack in the Odessa region, five people were injured, fires started at the "arrival" sites, and there is damage to civilian, port, and energy infrastructure.
A strike was also made on a DTEK energy facility in the Odessa region. "Energy workers are reconnecting critical infrastructure facilities and residential buildings to backup lines where technically possible," said the company's statement. DTEK noted that the damage is significant and repairs will take time.
In Zaporizhzhia, a 40-year-old man was killed as a result of a Russian strike, and two other civilians were previously injured, with destruction to residential buildings and critical infrastructure facilities, reported the head of the regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov.
As reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of October 9, Russia attacked Ukraine with 112 strike drones, and the defense forces managed to neutralize 87 UAVs, but there were hits at 12 locations.
On the previous evening in Chernihiv, due to the fall of a Russian UAV, a fire broke out in a store covering an area of about 120 square meters. Rescuers, together with the local fire team, began eliminating the consequences of the shelling. At this time, Russia carried out a repeated strike, damaging the equipment of the State Emergency Service unit and the fire team.
