US President Donald Trump on Sunday gave a «last warning» to Hamas to agree to his terms for ending the war, adding that Israel had accepted his proposed ceasefire and hostage release agreement, without specifying details. «Everyone wants the hostages to be released. Everyone wants this war to end!, - wrote Trump on his social network. - It's time for Hamas to accept [my terms]».
Israel has not confirmed that it accepted Trump's proposal. However, according to a source from Times of Israel it is «considering it very seriously».
Hamas, in turn, stated that it is ready to immediately return to the negotiating table and «discuss the release of all prisoners in exchange for a clear statement on ending the war, a complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, and the creation of a committee of independent Palestinians to govern the Gaza Strip».
According to the new proposal, Hamas will release all 48 hostages, alive and dead, on the first day, and Israel will release hundreds of Palestinian terrorists accused of murder. Additionally, the IDF will cancel the capture of the city of Gaza and remain outside its borders, the message states. Both sides will begin negotiations to end the war under Trump's personal supervision, and the ceasefire will continue as long as the negotiations last.
The war in Gaza began on October 7, 2023, when thousands of terrorists led by Hamas invaded Israel, killing about 1,200 people and capturing 251 hostages.
Meanwhile, today in a terrorist attack in Jerusalem, terrorists shot at a bus, killing four people and injuring about 20 people.
