As reported by «People of Baikal», in the fall of 2024, Sanan Guseynov from Mogochi, Zabaykalsky Krai, shot his ex-wife Ekaterina, who left him due to infidelity, firing 12 bullets from a traumatic pistol.
Almost a year before this, the woman complained to the police, claiming that Guseynov allegedly ordered the murder of her family and promised to «cut her throat in front of everyone».
«I won't even run away, I'll get three years for a state of affect, serve my time, get out and be happy. At least I'll have my daughter nearby, and we'll find her a stepmother. And you'll be feeding the worms. That's how it will be», Guseynov said in a voice message to Ekaterina. However, the police did not initiate a criminal case.
The court sentenced Guseynov to 15 years in prison for murder and illegal possession of weapons, but he avoided punishment by signing a contract with the Ministry of Defense.
In February 2025, Guseynov went to war, although more than eight thousand people demanded in a petition not to let him go. By April, it became known that he fled from the military unit, but he was caught. Now the murderer will also be tried for desertion.
