The operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory reported that in the regional capital, due to the fall of drone debris on the territory of the refinery, one of the technological installations was damaged, a fire broke out over an area of about 300 square meters.
According to preliminary information, there are no casualties. The head of Krasnodar, Evgeny Naumov, stated that operational and emergency services are working at the "scene of the incident" on the territory of the Krasnodar refinery.
The governor of the Samara Region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, reported that early in the morning, an attack was carried out on an industrial enterprise in Syzran. Astra*, citing local residents, reported that drones again attacked the Syzran refinery, which was already attacked on August 24, and a fire started.
According to sources in the Ministry of Emergency Situations, five drones struck and exploded on the territory of the refinery, three of which hit the equipment. As a result, the primary oil processing unit AVT-6, the secondary oil processing unit L-35-6, and a pumping station were damaged.
JSC "Syzran Oil Refinery" is one of the largest oil refining enterprises in the Samara Region, part of the structure of PJSC "Rosneft". The enterprise produces gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel, fuel oil, bitumen, liquefied hydrocarbon gases, and more. Annually, the Syzran refinery processes from 7 to 8.5 million tons of oil.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that the Defense Forces, with the help of drones, struck oil refineries in the Krasnodar Territory and Samara Region.
It is noted that the Ukrainian military is working "within the framework of reducing the offensive potential of the enemy and complicating the supply of fuel to military units".
