He called the reason for the war in Ukraine a "personal conflict," reminding that it would not have happened if he were president

President of the United States Donald Trump made a number of statements to journalists regarding the situation with a different agreement between Ukraine and Russia. In particular, he stated that he thought this war would be the easiest to stop, "but it turned out that there are serious personal conflicts." When asked by a journalist why Vladimir Putin is so reluctant to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Trump stated that "he doesn't like him."

The American leader once again mentioned that this war would not have happened if the USA had a "real president at that time, and not a person who came to power through rigged elections." At the same time, instead of arguments, he referred to Putin's words. "Putin actually said: 'If Trump were president, this wouldn't have happened.' This happened for many reasons. It happened because of Afghanistan. When he saw how incompetent Milley and all these guys were, I think he said: 'Well, maybe it's time.' Because Ukraine has always been a tempting piece for him. This would never have happened if I were president," summarized Donald Trump.

Trump also noted that the details of the security guarantees have not yet been discussed, but the USA is ready to participate as support for Europe. "European countries are going to give them significant security guarantees, and they should do it because it's their continent. But we will participate in this from a support standpoint, we will help them, and I think that if we reach an agreement, we will maintain peace because I want people to stop dying," said the US president.

At the same time, Donald Trump stated that the USA no longer gives money to Ukraine, as it was under the Biden administration, but sells weapons to Ukraine through NATO. "I said that Zelensky is the greatest salesman I have ever met because he comes to the country and leaves each time with 50 billion dollars. But we no longer give Ukraine any money. In fact, it's the opposite: they go through NATO, request missiles, we sell missiles to NATO. NATO pays us in full and does what it wants with them," added Trump.

In addition, the US president stated that he expects "at some point" to hold a meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and "do something with North and South Korea"

"I have very good relations with Kim Jong Un of North Korea. I look forward to meeting him. We had two summits. I know him better than anyone else, except his sister. His sister knows him quite well <...> In fact, I will see him someday. I am set on meeting him. We will meet at some point. I am actually set on it," assured Trump to journalists.
