The Sevastopol City Court sentenced 46-year-old local resident Sergey Bodnarashik to 14 years in a high-security colony in a case of transmitting data about the Russian armed forces to Ukraine, the city's prosecutor's office reported.
Bodnarashik was found guilty of treason. According to the investigation, from January to October 2023, the man "proactively transmitted" photographs and other information about the locations of military and special equipment to representatives of Ukrainian special services. He contacted representatives of the special services through Telegram, writes the prosecutor's office.
In August last year, the Balaklava District Court of Sevastopol fined Bodnarashik 30,000 rubles under a protocol on "discrediting" the army. The reason for the administrative case was three comments on Telegram that "distorted and discredited" the actions of the Russian armed forces.
