On the night of August 22, kamikaze drones from the 14th regiment of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the 'Druzhba' oil pumping station in the city of Unecha, Bryansk region, Russia. Footage of the fire was published by the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Robert Brovdi.
This facility in the Bryansk region was already attacked on August 13. The 'Unecha' station is one of the most important nodes of the 'Druzhba' pipeline. It transports oil to two pipelines, and the pumping capacity reaches 60 million tons per year. The entire network stretches almost 9,000 kilometers.
On the night of August 18, the Ukrainian army struck the 'Nikolskoe' oil pumping station in the Tambov region, after which oil pumping through 'Druzhba' was completely stopped. Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto announced the cessation of oil supplies to Hungary, and the operator Transpetrol reported the suspension of transit to Slovakia, emphasizing that the cause of the disruptions is 'beyond the country's borders.' Later, transportation was restored.
'We expect that Ukraine will no longer attack this vital pipeline. This is not our war. Hungary should not interfere in it!' said Szijjarto.
