The Oktyabrsky District Court of Belgorod fined a 40-year-old Ukrainian citizen 40,000 rubles in a criminal case for «failure to report a crime», reported the regional prosecutor's office.

According to law enforcement, at the beginning of 2024, the man learned that his acquaintance had joined the recognized terrorist «Russian Volunteer Corps»* and was performing tasks of «illegal nature» for money, but did not report this to the authorities. However, the prosecutor's office does not provide information about the person who joined the RDK.

As learned by «Mediazona»**, in May, 48-year-old resident of Belgorod region, Yuri Yaroshenko, was sentenced to 16 years in prison for participation in the RDK. The investigation claimed that at the beginning of 2024, he contacted representatives of the RDK and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, after which he began transmitting information to them about the locations of air defense systems and routes of the Russian army. The prosecution also claimed that Yaroshenko planned to blow up soldiers with a grenade and poison food that was to be sent to the front.
