The Primorsky Regional Court sentenced a local resident to 13 years in a high-security penal colony for treason, and on August 8, the Fifth Appellate Court upheld the sentence, reported "Mediazona"* citing the court's decision.

According to the prosecution, in May 2023, the man, whose name is not disclosed, agreed to pass "information about the location and security of a military unit located in the Primorsky Krai" to Ukrainian intelligence, its name is also not disclosed.

The prosecution claims that the man committed the crime because he felt "dislike for the current Russian government" and also "opposed Russia's special military operation".

The criminal case against the Primorye resident reached the court in January 2025, the sentence was announced on March 28, and yesterday the appeal upheld it.
