The court transferred to state ownership the oil transshipment company "Dagnefteprodukt" and the oil refinery LLC "Dagnotech", which belonged to the family of the former State Secretary of Dagestan Magomed-Sultan Magomedov, reported the FSB Public Relations Center. "Dagnefteprodukt" includes 67 land plots and more than 360 buildings and structures, including pipelines and gas stations. It is the only operator for transshipping oil entering the Makhachkala seaport. The total value of the property exceeds 100 billion rubles.
In addition, property worth more than 3 billion rubles was seized from Magomedov and other defendants in the fraud case.
As part of the criminal case, the Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit for the nationalization of Magomedov's assets, which the Makhachkala district court fully satisfied. According to the investigation, in 2001–2005, Magomedov "used administrative resources" to transfer enterprises to people from his circle. Initially, the property of "Dagnefteprodukt" was illegally transferred from federal ownership to republican, and then sold to officials' controlled persons at a reduced price.
Magomedov did not contest the lawsuit in court. He is currently under a travel ban.
