On the night of August 2, explosions occurred in several regions of Russia, accompanied by the operation of air defense systems.
In the Samara region, the Novokuibyshevsk refinery was attacked and caught fire. The Telegram channel Exilenova+ claims that the ELOU AVT-11 installation was hit.
The governor of the Samara region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, confirmed the drone strike. He also reported that temporary restrictions on mobile internet have been introduced in the region, and the Samara airport has suspended operations.

Another victim was reported by the authorities of the Rostov region. “In the settlement of Uglerodovsky in the Krasnosulinsky district, one of the enterprise's buildings caught fire, the fire was extinguished. Unfortunately, there was a tragedy — an employee who was guarding the facility died. I express my deepest condolences to the family and friends,” wrote Governor Yuri Slyusar.
Drones also likely hit JSC “Electropribor Production Association” in the Penza region. Local channels also report a fire at JSC “Radio Plant,” which is located nearby and produces command posts for air defense units.
The governor of the Penza region, Oleg Melnichenko, reported one woman dead and two injured.
