The 2nd Western District Military Court reviewed 146 criminal cases and issued guilty verdicts to 256 Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen, 19 of whom were convicted in absentia.
The court also reviewed 13 criminal cases against foreigners who fought on the side of Ukraine, 10 of which were considered in absentia.
In June, the Prosecutor General's Office reported that in the past six months, the 2nd Western District Military Court issued 184 sentences to soldiers captured in the Kursk region. At the same time, all regular army servicemen are charged under the same article — «committing a terrorist act by a group of persons causing severe consequences».
On April 11 alone, five sentences were immediately issued to Ukrainian servicemen, who were sentenced to terms ranging from 14 to 17 years.
