A minor resident of Krasnoyarsk is suspected of attempting to commit a terrorist attack, reported the Eastern Directorate of the Investigative Committee on Transport.
The 17-year-old teenager was supposed to set fire to a «transport infrastructure facility» in Krasnoyarsk for a monetary reward, according to the investigation. However, the fire did not occur. The teenager was tasked by «unidentified individuals» to set fire to two relay cabinets, for which he was promised $700.
The terrorist attack did not occur because the incendiary means used did not ignite, police clarified.
As reported by «Siberian Express», at the request of the investigation, the court sent the young man to a pre-trial detention center.
