He was accused of inciting extremism and terrorism, as well as an attack on the instructions of an «unidentified person»

The Central District Military Court in Yekaterinburg found a Kazan resident guilty of publicly inciting extremist and terrorist activities on the internet and an attack, and sentenced him to 15 years in prison, the court's press service reported.

The court concluded that the defendant (whose name is not mentioned), «being an opponent» of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and «being a member of the network international anarchist association „Combat Organization of Anarcho-Communists“ (BOAK), posted 17 textual materials encouraging violent actions against representatives of state authorities in Russia, including all state officials and the current president of the Russian Federation».

In addition, according to the investigation, the accused published 27 textual materials in a messenger, which were aimed at «forming in other users the idea of the permissibility of engaging in terrorist activities».

Regarding the attack charge, the investigation claims that the Kazan resident «received an assignment from an unidentified person in a messenger to destroy for monetary reward a building of any Russian Federation government body in order to destabilize its activities and influence the decision to end the special military operation». After which he went and set fire to the premises of the magistrate's court, located on the first floor of a multi-apartment residential building.

The premises of the magistrates of the Privolzhsky district of Kazan were set on fire during the day on February 13, 2023. The media claimed that «the fire went out almost immediately, only affecting the corner of the frame». Therefore, the case was initially investigated under the article on arson, but was later reclassified to a more serious article on terrorism.

In early March 2023, the accused was added to the «list of extremists and terrorists» by Rosfinmonitoring.
