In the Rostov region, Ukrainian drones attacked Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Salsk, Volgodonsk, as well as the Bokovsky and Tarasovsky districts, reported the regional governor Yuri Slyusar.
According to him, the target of the attack was a railway station, and fires broke out due to falling debris. In addition, a car on Ostrovsky Street was damaged, and the driver inside was killed. The identity of the deceased is being established, added Slyusar.
Russian Railways reported that due to falling drone debris, the contact network at the Salsk station was disrupted and train traffic was suspended. As a result of the attack, the glazing in two carriages of train No. 59 Novokuznetsk — Kislovodsk was damaged. Passengers were evacuated, and there were no injuries. Furthermore, a stationary freight train caught fire, and a fire train was dispatched to extinguish the flames.
The Federal Passenger Company reported that "due to the incident" at the Salsk station, nine trains are delayed.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported 22 drones shot down over the Rostov region.
