The administration of one of the districts of Chuvashia reported on the funeral of Colonel Sergey Ilyin of the 155th Marine Brigade.
«Today we bid farewell to the native of the village of Musirma, Guards Colonel, Commander of the 155th Separate Guards Kursk Brigade of the Marine Corps, Orders of Zhukov and Suvorov, Sergey Yuryevich Ilyin, who died during a special military operation»,— stated the administration of the Urmarsky Municipal District.
Z-channels write that Ilyin died on July 2 during a missile strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a result of the same strike, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Navy Major General Mikhail Gudkov, Brigade Chief of Staff Leonid Bashkardin, and Colonel Nariman Shikhaliyev were killed. A total of 12 military personnel died in the missile strike.
Ukrainian media reported that on July 2, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the command post of the 155th Brigade in Korenovo, Kursk region.
Servicemen of the 155th Marine Brigade participated in the occupation of the Kyiv region, and they were accused of war crimes and the killing of civilians in Bucha, Hostomel, and Irpin.
