According to the publication «Caution, news» on April 18, Moscow pensioner Eduard Goida had a dispute with a neighbor named Sorokina. The reason was graffiti on Turistskaya Street with the inscription «Salute to you, soldier of Russia», which the woman was working on, depicting military figures. In the presence of the neighbor, Goida called the participants of the war in Ukraine «criminals and occupiers», and also promised to spoil the graffiti if it included the St. George's ribbon and the Z symbol.
The neighbor reported Goida, and a protocol was drawn up against the man for «discrediting» the army. In court, Goida provided disability certificates, spoke of his respect for the St. George's ribbon, and expressed remorse. He was given the minimum fine under this article — 30,000 rubles.
