UPD: Among the injured are three women and their children: three boys, two of whom were born yesterday, and one on July 8, according to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office. The mothers and babies, the agency clarified, were diagnosed with an acute stress reaction. They were in the maternity hospital that was damaged during the attack.
Russian troops attacked the center of Kharkiv with strike drones, injuring at least nine people, reported the city's mayor, Ihor Terekhov.
The targets were residential areas and a medical facility. Later, Terekhov clarified that the maternity hospital was damaged. «The morning explosions affected the maternity hospital where mothers with babies were staying. We will now evacuate them to another medical facility. Fortunately, none of them were injured».
Fires broke out in several locations, and all emergency services were dispatched to the scene.
Russians also attacked the city of Chuhuiv in the Kharkiv region with drones, destroying the city's central hospital. Three people were injured. As reported by the city's mayor, Halyna Minaieva, several houses and administrative buildings were also damaged.
