A case of "treason" was initiated against the center's creator, Pavel Andreev, as the investigation believes he "provided assistance to representatives of foreign intelligence services"

UPD: TASS, citing law enforcement agencies, reports that a case of "treason" was initiated against the former director of "7x7"* and one of the creators of the "Revolt Center," Pavel Andreev. According to the investigation, he allegedly "provided assistance to representatives of foreign intelligence services in activities directed against the security of the Russian Federation" for a reward.

The FSB also believes that Andreev "maintained covert contacts with representatives of NATO countries" and "carried out projects aimed at violating the territorial integrity and constitutional order of the Russian Federation on behalf of a foreign party."

In the morning, FSB officers conducted a search at the independent cultural space "Revolt Center" in Syktyvkar, as well as "at the addresses of registration of the organization's employees, from managers to baristas," reported the Telegram channel "New Republic."

The reasons for the searches are unknown. According to "Novaya Gazeta Europe"** citing a source, law enforcement raised claims against Pavel Andreev, one of the creators of the "7x7" magazine and the "Revolt Center," but the formal reason might be different.

The Telegram channel KomiLeaks writes that the searches are related to "foreign funding and activities of organizations deemed undesirable in Russia."

The "Revolt Center" is a modern cultural space where various meetings and exhibitions are held. It was opened in 2019 and named in honor of Soviet mathematician, human rights activist, and dissident Revolt Pimenov. The man was exiled to Komi after serving time for "anti-Soviet activities" and distributing samizdat.

The day before, the center announced an exhibition of the famous Pskov photographer Dmitry Markov "Seventh Heaven," who passed away in February last year.
