He was planning to fly from Chelyabinsk to Turkey on a personal business jet, he was detained, and bailiffs confiscated his passport

Deputy Chairman of the Chelyabinsk Legislative Assembly Konstantin Strukov, despite a court ban, attempted to leave Russia by flying from Chelyabinsk to Turkey on a personal business jet, reported «Kommersant». However, Rosaviatsiya prohibited the takeoff of the aircraft, which was already ready to ascend, as the bailiffs had previously seized it. Bailiffs confiscated Strukov's passport directly on board the plane, which by that time had already been annulled by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs' migration service.

Earlier, Strukov told TASS that he was not planning to leave the country, noting that he «works calmly».

On July 2, the Soviet District Court of Chelyabinsk imposed a number of interim measures as part of the Prosecutor General's lawsuit, in particular, prohibiting Strukov and his family members from leaving the country.

The Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit for the nationalization of companies associated with Konstantin Strukov. Among them is «Yuzhuralzoloto» — one of the largest gold mining companies in the country. The lawsuit claims that Strukov, using his position in government bodies, illegally gained control over the company «Yuzhuralzoloto», which he previously headed. Based on it, he created PJSC «Yuzhuralzoloto Group of Companies» (YUGK). Currently, the asset is registered to the deputy's daughter, Alexandra Strukova, who holds Swiss citizenship.
