UPD: The search and rescue operation in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv lasted over 39 hours and concluded this evening. The bodies of 23 deceased were retrieved from the rubble. In total, as reported by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, 28 people died in the capital as a result of the Russian shelling on June 17, and more than 140 were injured.
Rescuers retrieved the bodies of 6 more deceased from the rubble of a nine-story building in Kyiv destroyed by a Russian missile on June 17, thus increasing the death toll from this attack to 22.
The head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Tymur Kravchenko, also reported that the work on clearing the rubble and searching for people continued throughout the night.

«Unfortunately, the worst forecasts are still coming true. Some of the Kyiv residents who stopped responding after the attack yesterday were pulled from the rubble. As of eight o'clock in the morning, 17 people died as a result of a direct hit on a building in the Solomianskyi district. The search continues», — noted Kravchenko.
On June 17, Kyiv suffered the largest attack this year. Russia launched more than 30 missiles and nearly 440 drones, targeting residential areas of the capital and critical infrastructure facilities.
The Solomianskyi district was particularly affected, with several high-rise buildings, a kindergarten, and private homes destroyed and damaged. The explosions caused large-scale fires, and missile debris caused additional damage. A Kh-101 missile hit a nine-story building, completely destroying the entrance.
President Volodymyr Zelensky called the attack «a demonstrative terror» and appealed to partners to provide Ukraine with more air defense systems. A day of mourning has been declared in Kyiv on Wednesday.
