On the night of June 14, the Ukrainian army attacked the chemical plant "Nevinnomyssky Azot" in the Stavropol Territory with "Lyutyi" strike drones. This plant is the largest producer of nitrogen fertilizers and ammonia in Russia, part of the "EuroChem" group owned by billionaire Andrey Melnichenko. Local public pages published footage of the strikes. Governor Vladimir Vladimirov confirmed the attack, stating that drone debris fell in the industrial zone. Initially, he reported one injured person, but later clarified that there were no casualties. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also reported the attack on one of the largest producers of nitrogen fertilizers and ammonia in Russia.

"Nevinnomyssky Azot" is a "critical element" of Russia's military-industrial complex, wrote Andrey Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, in a Telegram channel. He noted that the plant annually produces up to a million tons of ammonia and more than a million tons of ammonium nitrate. These materials are used in the manufacture of explosives and artillery shells. The plant also produces melamine, acetic acid, methanol, and potassium nitrate, which are necessary for the production of explosive ordnance and rocket charges, Kovalenko reported, without specifying the nature and extent of the damage to the facility as a result of the attack.

An enterprise in the Samara Region was also attacked — JSC "NNK", which specializes in the production of explosive components. Explosions and a fire were recorded in the industrial zone area.

The governor of the Samara Region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, confirmed the attack on "one of the industrial enterprises of Novokuybyshevsk.

As ASTRA* writes, the Novokuybyshevsk Petrochemical Company specializes in the production of liquefied hydrocarbon gases, MTBE (methyl tert-amyl ether), benzene, phenol, acetone, alpha-methylstyrene, olefins, para-tert-butylphenol (PTBP), and is also the only producer of synthetic ethanol in the country.
