Since the evening of June 12, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with four ballistic missiles 'Iskander-M/KN-23' and 55 strike drones, 43 drones were neutralized, but nine hits were recorded, reported the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The attack targeted Kharkiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Chernihiv regions.
During the attack in the Chernihiv region, a 46-year-old local resident was killed by an FPV drone strike.
In Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, a shell hit a homestead, killing a 72-year-old man.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, four people were injured during the attack, and the day before, Russians destroyed private homes with airstrikes — one person was killed, and four were injured.
Throughout June 12, Russian forces shelled more than 30 settlements in the Kherson region, resulting in one death and seven injuries, reported the head of the regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin. In addition to drones, the Russian army shelled the region with artillery and aviation. At least 35 settlements were under fire. According to the regional military administration, Russian strikes targeted residential areas, critical and social infrastructure. As a result of the shelling, four apartment buildings, 13 private homes, a gas station, an outbuilding, and civilian transport were damaged.
In the last 24 hours, the Sumy region was also shelled 50 times. 25 settlements were hit, two women aged 88 and 57 were injured, and infrastructure and residential homes were damaged. There were 35 strikes from rocket artillery, and more than 10 guided aerial bombs were dropped.
