Today in Russia, more than one and a half thousand people are being persecuted by the state for political reasons. Hundreds of them are deprived of freedom — they are in colonies, awaiting trial in detention centers or under house arrest, some have been sent for forced treatment.
On June 12, independent media and YouTube channels "Meduza"*, "Dozhd"*, The New Times, FBK***, "Mediazona"**, The Breakfast show, "Popular Politics" and many others are holding the third solidarity marathon with political prisoners. The single 12-hour broadcast runs from 9:00 to 21:00 Moscow time. Join the broadcast and make a donation if it is safe for you.
All collected funds will go to support people in Russia who are in places of detention for political cases, as well as their families. Last year, thanks to the marathon, more than 300 political prisoners and their family members received assistance.
