In the Krasnodar region, a local resident was charged with "preparing a terrorist act," and an employee of the engineering service of the international airport of Sukhumi — "espionage"

The FSB detained a Russian citizen allegedly planning to carry out a terrorist attack in Kuban on Ukraine's instructions, the special service's COS reported. "The Federal Security Service <...> detained a Russian citizen born in 2003, who was planning to carry out a terrorist act in places of mass gathering of people in the territory of the Krasnodar region on the instructions of the Security Service of Ukraine," the agency specified.

According to the security forces, which was confirmed in a video by the detainee, at the end of March, a curator from the Ukrainian special services sent the young man "photographs and coordinates with the location of a cache where explosives were stored," which he was supposed to retrieve to blow up an "energy infrastructure facility in the city of Novorossiysk." In the video, he clarifies that FSB officers detained him on his way to the place where the explosives were stored.

In addition, according to the FSB, the previously detained individual conducted photo surveillance of military facilities for Ukrainian special services. He also collected data on the movements of Black Sea Fleet ships. The FSB noted that the detainee confessed and is cooperating with the investigation.

The FSB also claims that, together with the State Security Service of the Republic of Abkhazia, it detained a 49-year-old employee of the engineering service of the international airport of Sukhumi, who was collaborating with Ukrainian military intelligence.

"It was established that the perpetrator maintained confidential cooperation with a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, on whose instructions he provided the Ukrainian side with information about the nature of the work he performed at the international airport of Sukhumi, where he was listed as a specialist in the engineering and technical service," noted the COS.

According to the FSB, he planned to hand over to the enemy a plan-scheme of the airport and the adjacent closed parking lot used for receiving official international delegations. The plan-scheme could have been used to carry out a terrorist attack. It is noted that during interrogation, the man gave a confession. The investigative department of the State Security Service of Abkhazia has initiated a criminal case against him for "espionage."

The FSB reports on the detention of people across Russia who "planned terrorist attacks" on a daily basis. All evidence is based on the statements of security forces and videos with confessions of detainees, which exactly repeat the charges' narrative.
