UPD: The number of injured increased to 14 people
In Rylsk, drones hit two five-story residential buildings, in one of them an apartment on the first floor caught fire, after which the fire spread to neighboring balconies, in the other building the drone struck the third floor, and a fire also started there, said the acting governor of the Kursk region, Alexander Khinshtein. According to him, seven people were injured, including children aged 13 and 16.
«A large number of windows were broken, facades in several buildings were damaged. Residents [of the buildings] were evacuated, they were offered temporary accommodation, but all preferred to stay with relatives», — wrote Khinshtein.
In addition, in the village of Artakovo in the Lgovsky district, due to a UAV attack, two structures and a garage caught fire, three people sought medical attention.
Rylsk, located near the Ukrainian border, has been hit multiple times. In December last year, authorities reported that as a result of a missile attack, five people were killed, and 12 were injured.
