UPD: Russia is "in principle" ready to consider the possibility of establishing a ceasefire regime with Ukraine, but with reciprocal steps from the other side, said Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya. According to TASS, Nebenzya stated that during the ceasefire, Western countries should stop supplying weapons to the "Kyiv regime," and Ukraine should halt mobilization.

Ukraine is interested in a new round of negotiations, which may take place in Istanbul on June 2, to end the war this year, said the country's Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga at a joint press conference with Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Kyiv.

"Because we want to end this war this year, and we are interested in establishing a ceasefire — whether it's for 30 days, 50 days, or 100 days — Ukraine is ready to openly discuss this directly with Russia. We confirmed this during the last meeting of our delegation with the Russian side," UNIAN quotes him.

At the same time, Sibiga reminded that Ukraine, following the meeting in Istanbul, has already conveyed to the Russian side its vision of further steps, defining the parameters of this ceasefire.

"We are waiting for a memorandum from the Russian side, as it was announced. We are waiting for it in advance. This was also promised to the American side. Therefore, for the next planned meeting to be substantive, it is important to receive the document in advance so that the delegation has the authority to discuss the relevant positions," Sibiga emphasized.

In turn, Turkey's Foreign Minister Fidan said he believes in the possibility of progress in the negotiations. "Regarding the resumption of negotiations in Istanbul, we believe that as long as the negotiating table is active, progress is always possible," Fidan emphasized.

Meanwhile, The Atlantic, citing sources in the US president's administration, reported that the American delegation does not plan to participate in this round of negotiations.

Following the meeting, US leader Donald Trump wants to see progress in the peace settlement process of the Russian-Ukrainian war and only then will continue the American side's participation in further negotiations. "The president is furious, but he still hopes to make a deal. He is trying to find the best path to it — but believe him when he says he will walk away [from the negotiations]," one of the publication's interlocutors stated.

In turn, the Kremlin, which has not yet presented its version of the memorandum, is discussing a meeting of presidents at the highest level. Dmitry Peskov stated that Putin is ready to hold talks with Ukraine at the highest level, but first, a result must be achieved in the negotiations of the delegations.

Earlier, Turkey's Foreign Ministry reported that the country's president, Recep Erdogan, is ready to host the leaders of the US, Ukraine, and Russia. Peskov also added that the drafts of the Russian and Ukrainian ceasefire memorandums (which will be discussed at the meeting of delegations in Istanbul on June 2) will not be published.
