They recorded and posted a video calling to fight against the current government

The Southern District Military Court announced the verdict in the case of three Krasnodar residents, Alexander Pogorelov*, Roman Myskov*, and Jamal Mamatkulov*, accused of "calls for terrorism" due to a video recording, the court's press service reported.

Myskov was sentenced to five and a half years in a general regime colony, Mamatkulov to six years in prison, and Pogorelov to six and a half years.

According to the investigation, they "decided to record and post a video on the Internet from March 1 to 25, 2023," "containing calls for terrorist activities." Pogorelov bought "camouflage clothing, masks, two unmanned aerial vehicles, an airsoft model of a Kalashnikov rifle, a tripod, and a homemade sign of the settlement of the urban district of Domodedovo, Moscow region, 'Lovtsovo'."

After that, all three chose a suitable location for filming the video, put on masks, took drones and the Kalashnikov model, and recorded the video. The text with calls to resist the government was spoken by Pogorelov. According to the investigation, it contained calls to fight against the current government — in particular, to blow up trains and airports.

The video was published on March 25, 2023. After which they were detained, and all three were added to the list of "extremists and terrorists" by Rosfinmonitoring. The case was submitted to the court in December 2024.

* Included in the register of "extremists and terrorists."
