Security forces detained a 17-year-old teenager in connection with the case of setting fire to an electrical panel at a railway station in St. Petersburg, reported the transport police of the Northwestern Federal District.

According to the investigation, the teenager entered a car depot at the St. Petersburg-Sorting-Moscow station and set fire to the electrical panel using acetone on the orders of an «unidentified curator».

A criminal case has been initiated against the teenager under the article «terrorist act». The court sent him to a pre-trial detention center.

In the published video of the detention, the teenager states that he was forced to commit the arson by «FMS officer Mikhail Alexandrovich».

The 17-year-old teenager, upon detention, assumed that he was being accused of «state treason», gave a confession, and promised to cooperate with the investigation.
