UPD: Investigators also visited the parents of Pussy Riot members Alina Petrova and Taso Pletner. A search took place at Petrova's parents' apartment in Yaroslavl, as well as at Pletner's relatives in St. Petersburg — about 10 officers came to one of them, bringing a sledgehammer with them, reports "Mediazona"*
Investigators conducted searches at the relatives of punk group Pussy Riot members Maria Alyokhina and Olga Borisova, the activists themselves told "Mediazona".
Security forces visited Alyokhina's parents in Moscow, and Borisova's family in St. Petersburg. According to the publication, at least one close relative of the activists was summoned for questioning as a witness.
During the investigative actions at Alyokhina's mother's place, the officers mentioned the video clip that became the reason for one of the episodes of the criminal case, and they checked the woman's Telegram messages. Investigators also visited the activist's seriously ill father, who lives separately and cannot walk due to health issues.
The searches are related to the case against Pussy Riot for the dissemination of "fakes" about the army by a group of individuals "motivated by political hatred". The reason was the anti-war video clip "Mama, Don't Watch TV" and the group's performance at the Munich art museum "Pinakothek der Moderne".
In addition to Alyokhina and Borisova, Diana Burkot, Alina Petrova, and Taso Pletner are also accused in the case. Whether there were searches at their relatives' homes is not yet known. In July last year, they were put on the wanted list, and in February this year, the court arrested them in absentia.
The investigation believes that with the help of the video clip and the action, the defendants in the case spread "false information" about the war in Ukraine.
