On Friday, the 46th President of the United States, Joseph R. Biden, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer, his representative said on Sunday.
The diagnosis was made after doctors discovered a "small nodule" in Mr. Biden's prostate that required "further examination."
"Although this is a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive, which allows for effective treatment," media outlets quote the press secretary. "The President and his family are considering treatment options with their doctors."
