The Ukrainian Coordination Headquarters for Prisoners of War Affairs reported the return of 909 bodies of fallen soldiers on eight front lines. Among the returned are those who fell on the Kurakhove, Pokrovske, Bakhmut, Vuhledar, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Kharkiv directions. Bodies that were in Russian morgues were also returned.
A representative of the parliamentary coordination group on the issues of the «SVO», State Duma deputy Shamkali Saraliyev told RBC that as part of the exchange, Russia returned the bodies of 34 Russian soldiers.
According to data from early March, over the past four months, the Russian side has handed over twice as many bodies of Ukrainian defenders as during the entire period of the full-scale war before that.
The previous exchange took place on April 18, Ukraine returned the bodies of 909 fallen soldiers, Russia — 41.
