On the night of May 7, the Russian army struck Kyiv with a ballistic missile. As a result of the attack, two people were killed, seven were injured, including four children.
According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, damage was recorded in the Sviatoshynskyi, Solomianskyi, and Dniprovskyi districts.
In the Sviatoshynskyi district, debris hit a 9-story residential building, causing several floors to catch fire. One adult and four children were rescued, three of whom were hospitalized with burns.
Another drone fell on a high-rise residential building in the Dniprovskyi district, causing partial destruction of the 29th and 30th floors. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, UAV debris fell on a 5-story residential building, causing apartments on two floors to catch fire. During the firefighting, the bodies of two people were found.
The previous evening, Russian troops attacked Zaporizhzhia with drones, trapping people under the rubble. Rescuers managed to save everyone, four people were injured. The head of the regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported that no less than 13 strikes were carried out on the city, with a fire occurring in one district. A private residential house was destroyed, and 11 others were damaged. Destruction was also recorded at infrastructure facilities.
