The Nalchik Garrison Military Court sentenced a father and son who left the military unit for six months, reported «Mediazona»*, having studied the court's case files.
43-year-old resident of Kabardino-Balkaria Khachim Borsov was sentenced to six years and 15 days in a high-security prison for unauthorized leave of the unit during mobilization. As an aggravating circumstance, his previous unexpunged conviction was taken into account.
Khachim Borsov signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense to participate in the war with Ukraine while in a high-security colony, where he was serving a four-year sentence for robbery: the man robbed a pharmacy, threatening the pharmacist with a knife.
Along with him, his son, 23-year-old Charim Borsov, was also convicted, receiving five years in a general regime colony, as he had no prior convictions.
The court's press release stated that the father and son left their place of service on August 24, 2024, and «spent time at their discretion».
In February, the younger Borsov «voluntarily arrived at the 316th military investigative department», and ten days later the elder Borsov did the same. In court, the father and son fully admitted their guilt.
