Late in the evening of May 1, Zaporizhzhia was subjected to a massive attack by 'Shaheds', with 10 explosions recorded in the city. 'The Russians struck the city's civilian infrastructure. Residential buildings, a university, and an infrastructure facility were damaged,' wrote Ivan Fedorov, head of the regional military administration, on his Telegram channel.
According to preliminary data, 29 people were injured in the attack, including a 13-year-old boy. The injured were diagnosed with concussions, blast injuries, lacerations, burns, and fractures. As of the morning, 12 people were hospitalized, and the rest received medical assistance on site.
The railway operator 'Ukrzaliznytsia' reported that the locomotive repair plant in Zaporizhzhia, ZERZ, was subjected to a massive attack. According to the company, this is a purely civilian enterprise specializing in the repair of passenger electric locomotives.

'Only in the morning did the State Emergency Service extinguish the fire, and now bomb disposal experts are working. The on-duty staff of the enterprise was in shelter, so the most important thing is that there are no injured or dead at the plant,' added 'Ukrzaliznytsia'.
On the night of May 2, Russia attacked Ukraine with 150 drones from Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Crimea. 126 drones were shot down by air defense.
