The Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan reported that it satisfied a request from Russia and extradited Russian citizen Sotim Savlatov, born in 1997.

Russian law enforcement agencies are searching for him in connection with a case of unauthorized absence from a military unit or place of service during mobilization or martial law. Sotim Savlatov was detained in Azerbaijan in January and subsequently arrested. On April 23, he was handed over to Russian law enforcement.

According to the search database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Savlatov is a native of Tajikistan and lived in the Tver region of Russia. The Ministry of Internal Affairs declared him wanted no later than October 2023.

In January, former judge Elena Khakhaleva, associated with the Kushchevskaya organized crime group in the Krasnodar region, was detained in Azerbaijan at Russia's request. She is accused of fraud and official forgery. In March, it became known that the Azerbaijani court refused to extradite Khakhaleva.
