UPD: The number of victims of the attack in Kyiv has increased to 12 people, the number of injured — to 90.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that they used «precision weapons» to strike military targets. Donald Trump also reacted to the Russian attack on Kyiv. «I am displeased with the Russian strikes on Kyiv. This is unnecessary and very untimely. Vladimir, stop! Every week, 5000 soldiers die. Let's MAKE A PEACE AGREEMENT!» — he wrote on his social media.
Around one o'clock in the morning, the Russian army attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles. According to preliminary data, ten people were killed, more than 70 were injured, 42 of them were hospitalized, including six children.
Rescuers are still searching for two children, people are still under the debris.
«Phone calls can be heard from under the ruins — searches will continue until they are sure that everyone has been found», — reported the Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klymenko.
In five districts of the capital, residential buildings, administrative buildings, and garages were destroyed, and fires broke out in several locations.
The Kyiv region also came under a combined attack. Three five-story residential buildings, four stores, a warehouse, and more than ten vehicles were damaged.
At night, Russia attacked nine regions of Ukraine: Kyiv and the Kyiv region, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy regions, and Zaporizhzhia, reported the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko. In the Zhytomyr region, Russian troops struck again at a brigade of rescuers who arrived to extinguish a fire. A 39-year-old rescuer was injured.
