The FSB claims that he was recruited by the SBU for the "further escalation of the conflict and disruption of negotiations between Russia, the USA, and Ukraine"

The FSB claims that it detained a 25-year-old citizen of Belarus in the Krasnodar region, who was planning to blow up an administrative building in Novorossiysk on the orders of the SBU.

According to the intelligence service, the man was recruited in December 2024 for "gathering information on the locations of Black Sea Fleet ships, Russian Armed Forces personnel in the Krasnodar region, and carrying out terrorist attacks." He gathered intelligence and then "retrieved a homemade bomb weighing two and a half kilograms from a cache and was supposed to detonate a building in Novorossiysk," the intelligence service claims.

A criminal case has been initiated against the detainee, he has confessed and is cooperating with the investigation. During interrogation, the man stated that he acted solely for selfish purposes for easy and quick earnings. He was supposed to blow up a military assembly point, for which he received an explosive device and all components. The terrorist attack was planned for April. According to the detainee, his handler told him that this attack would be "a link in the plans of Ukrainian intelligence services for further escalation of the conflict and disruption of negotiations between Russia, the USA, and Ukraine."
