Russia attacked a residential area in Kharkiv with 'Iskanders', one person killed, 114 civilians injured

UPD: The number of injured has reached 114 people, reported Ihor Terekhov. According to the regional military administration, among the injured are nine children.

 

Early in the morning, the Russian army launched a missile strike on Kharkiv, resulting in, according to the latest data, one person killed and 74 injured. Among the injured are two children — 4 years and 2.8 years old. Thirteen people were hospitalized, four in serious condition.

According to the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleh Synehubov, the Russians struck with three ballistic 'Iskander' missiles at apartment buildings in the Osnovianskyi district. One of them exploded in the air right by the windows of a residential high-rise. The missiles had a cluster warhead, as in Kryvyi Rih and Sumy, for a larger impact radius.

'According to preliminary information, the strikes on Kharkiv were carried out with ballistic missiles with cluster warheads. That is why the impact areas are very large,' said Kharkiv mayor Ihor Terekhov, adding that more than 15 apartment buildings and more than 30 private houses were damaged, and a fire started at one of the civilian enterprises.

As a result of the morning missile attack in Dnipro, civilian objects were damaged, specifically a hotel building and a fitness center. There were no casualties or injuries.

In Sumy, a Russian missile hit a private workshop producing Easter cakes. 'As a result of the enemy's attack, a 61-year-old driver who was loading products was killed, and a 55-year-old employee of the enterprise was injured,' reported the military prosecutor's office.
