The Pushkin District Court sentenced 47-year-old Anna Alexandrova to 5 years and 2 months in a general regime colony for spreading "military" fakes motivated by "political hatred". Taking into account the time Alexandrova spent in pre-trial detention, she will have to spend three years in the colony, writes "Rotonda". After her release, the woman will not be able to use social media for three years.
The prosecution requested eight years in the colony.
Initially, Alexandrova was charged with eight episodes due to messages on WhatsApp and posts on "VK", after an examination, only one post remained in the case. The prosecutor combined the episodes into one ongoing case. Alexandrova did not plead guilty.
"Theater of the absurd! If only the actors weren't sitting in pre-trial detention, it would be good," Alexandrova reacted to the prosecutor's demand.
Alexandrova lives in Pushkin, worked as a hairdresser, and traveled to the village of Korpikyulya in the Gatchina district. Earlier, "Rotonda" wrote that Alexandrova's neighbor in the village, whom Anna accused of illegally renting 4.5 hectares of forest in Korpikyulya, complained about her social media.
"The history of denunciations in Russia has a centuries-old history, and the history of denunciations for selfish motives is a topic that has been repeatedly covered not only by lawyers, legal scholars, but also by the classics of our national literature," "Mediazona"* quotes Alexandrova's last word.
